Roanhead Beach is a picturesque sandy beach located 3 miles north of Barrow-In-Furness. It’s a public beach, popular with dog walkers a features a parking lot, sand dunes & distant views. Even though strong currents make it unsuitable for swimming, the coastal scenery is quite breathtaking. Car parking and toilet facilities are available. The National Trust run lots of activities for children including pond dipping in school holidays.
