Allerdale, to the West of Cumbria is well connected to its history and culture. It boasts two World Heritage Sites! The Lake District National Park is known and loved by many. However, you may not know that much of it is in Allerdale. In fact, it includes the start of the Hadrian’s Wall Trail in Bowness-on-Solway. In addition, there’s Keswick and Caldbeck, as well as some of the world’s most beautiful lakes. Derwentwater, Bassenthwaite, Buttermere, Crummock Water, Loweswater and Thirlmere are a few examples.
